Our Mission:

As a dance club, we are dedicated to providing each member with the opportunity to develop their skills in the swing dancing patterned after the styles of the Big Band era.

Our members and guests also have the opportunity to build an appreciation for the big band music and a respect for those who have influenced it.

We are also dedicated to sharing with the community the rich American heritage of this unique dance style and invite all of those who are interested to come celebrate with us!

Upcoming Swing Events:

On February 8th, club is having a 50's Sock Hop! Dressing up is optional (though awesome) but whether or not you're dressing up come prepared to kick off your shoes and dance to some 1950's Rock and Roll! Click the banner to see the facebook event.

Harlem Nights is back in Logan! In honor of Black History Month, every February we have an event called Harlem Nights, a weekend of dancing, workshops, and live jazz music. It's a huge event, well worth your money and a lot of fun every year. Not to mention our annual Hellzapoppin' Dance Competition! For more information or to register, click here.

Jazz Night at the Sky Club is an annual event put on by the University, with swing dancing to a live jazz band. It's a classy formal event, and our Swingcopation Dance Team will be teaching lessons and performing on the student night. For more information, click on the banner.

Club Information:

Club meets from 7:30-10PM on Wednesday nights in HPER 215. Admission is $2 a night for nonmembers, free for members.
Club Membership is $15 per semester ($10 if you were a member in fall semester), and includes the 2011-2012 Club T Shirt.
PLEASE NOTE THE TIME AND DATE CHANGE: Swing Club now meets at 7:30 PM on Wednesday Nights in room 215 of the HPER building.
