Create a Quiz Using New Quizzes

Click Quizzes in the side navigation

Canvas quizzes tab.

Select the button + Quiz and choose the New Quizzes quiz engine then click Submit

Enter the name of your quiz in the Assignment Name field

Scroll down and select Build

When you hit Build, the New Quiz Build page will appear

This is the home page for your quiz. From this page, you can edit questions, access quiz settings, see quiz reports, moderate students’ options, and more.

Select Add Instructions… and type general instructions that you would like the student to see

Note: Students see instructions before and during a quiz.

Select Done

You are now ready to create questions or pull questions from banks for your New Quiz.

Note: If you would like to return to the Assignments page, select Return in the top right-hand corner. Your changes will be saved.
